Magnesium Bond Diamond Fickerts are cost-effective consumables designed for fully automatic continuous granite polishing lines. 

 

Binder Core Materials:

  • Magnesium oxide and magnesium chloride cure to form a magnesite matrix; silicon carbide or diamond abrasives are embedded within. Curing occurs at room temperature-eliminating the need for high-temperature sintering-resulting in low production costs.

 

Universal Specifications:

  • Standard L140mm size compatible with global standards; fits various 12/ 16, and 20-head automatic granite polishing lines from manufacturers such as Breton, Simec, and Intermac.

Applicable Grits:

  • Concentrated in the 120#–1500# (medium-to-fine) range; serves as the transitional grinding stage between coarse grinding (using metal abrasive blocks) and fine polishing (using resin-bond diamond abrasives).

 Applicable Processing Scenarios and Stone Types 
1. Suitable Materials

  • Granite slabs, strips, dimensional stone tiles, standard engineered quartz slabs, and terrazzo;

 

2. Not Recommended For

  • High-hardness luxury stones, quartzite, rough grinding of thick, irregularly shaped slabs, or continuous 24-hour ultra-large-scale production lines;

  • Metal-bond Fickert (coarse grinding/calibration: #30/#50/#80) →
  • Magnesite abrasive blocks (medium grinding: #120–#800) →
  • Resin-bond diamond Fickert (high-gloss polishing: #1500/#3000) →
  • Fickert brush (antique/leather finish).
