Resin Bond Diamond Frankfurt Polishing Block for mirror marble finish, We also call it as Resin-Bond Diamond Frankfurt Abrasive or Mirror-Gloss Diamond Frankfurt Block

(600#/800# Resin Bond Diamond Frankfurt Abrasive)
Features a standard T105 horseshoe (Frankfurt) mounting base with uniform dimensions of 106×95×40mm. Compatible with fully automatic continuous marble polishing lines and heavy-duty handheld marble renovation grinders, this is a core consumable for the complete marble mirror-polishing process. Following the coarse grinding and transitional stages, it produces a highly transparent mirror-like gloss (95–110°).
Standard Marble Mirror-Polishing Process Flow
- Metal-bond diamond Frankfurt (coarse grinding/leveling, removing saw marks and surface irregularities) →
- Magnesite Frankfurt (transitional refining of deep scratches) →
- Resin-bond diamond mirror-finish Frankfurt (progressive polishing from 400# to 3000#) →
- Oxalic acid Frankfurt 5Extra/10Extra (final step: removing yellowing and unifying mirror-like clarity)
* Tips
Cheefung company manufactures and develops resin-based Frankfurt abrasive blocks for high-gloss and mirror polishing, available in grit sizes of 6000#, 8000#, and 10000#; these serve as an alternative to oxalic acid abrasive blocks. Material Structure and High-Gloss Formulation Principles
1. Material Composition
- Binder: Modified high-gloss phenolic resin, available in two types: soft-elastic resin (specialized for jade/light-colored marble) and standard hard resin (general-purpose marble).
- Abrasive: Ultra-fine monocrystalline diamond powder, evenly graded and distributed to ensure fine polishing without deep scratches.
- Base: Black plastic horseshoe-shaped base; the grinding block is integrally hot-pressed, with a wear-resistant layer thickness of 28–40mm.
We have developed "Sharp," "Long-life," and "High-gloss" series of Frankfurt grinding blocks to meet market demands, with specific formulations tailored to different stone polishing requirements.
2. Core Principles of Mirror Polishing
- The resin matrix provides inherent elastic cushioning, while the ultra-fine diamond powder progressively eliminates fine scratches and "orange-peel" textures left by previous processing stages. The formulation optimizes light transmission, preventing surface hazing and maximizing the natural translucency of the marble's crystalline structure to achieve a brilliant mirror-like finish. Frictional heat generation is mild, ensuring that light-colored beige or white marbles are not prone to high-temperature scorching (blackening) or the formation of white hazy layers.
Why Choose Our Products?
Product Advantages
1 Stable, Clear Mirror-Like Finish
- Unlike magnesite-based abrasive blocks-which often result in a hazy finish and dull luster-our resin-diamond abrasives produce a crisp, mirror-like shine that faithfully reveals the stone's natural veining; they are the standard choice for high-end export-grade stone.
2 Service Life Far Exceeds Magnesite Abrasives
- While magnesite abrasives cover only 1,000–3,500 m², our resin-diamond abrasives last for 18,000–30,000 m², significantly reducing production line downtime for tool changes and lowering labor costs.
3 Compatible with All Carbonate Stone Types
- Suitable for both soft and hard marble; specialized formulations accommodate everything from jade-like stone to dark-colored slabs, allowing automated production lines to operate without changing tool bases.
4 Balanced Self-Sharpening & Consistent Color
- Uniform diamond particle release ensures consistent polishing pressure throughout the process, resulting in uniform gloss across the entire batch of slabs and minimizing rework rates.
5 Gentle Wet Processing Protects Light-Colored Stone
- Resin's low thermal conductivity, combined with adequate water cooling, prevents surface scorching-effectively solving the common issue of yellowing when polishing beige marble.

Standard Operational Guidelines
1. Installation and Inspection
- Clear stone dust from the T105 horseshoe base slot and ensure the grinding block sits flush; run the machine idle for 30 seconds after locking to check for eccentric vibration before use. Do not use grinding blocks that are cracked or have chipped edges.
2. Mandatory Grit Sequence
- Processing must proceed sequentially from coarse to fine: 400# → 600# → 800# → 1200# → 1500# → 3000#. Skipping grit sizes will leave irreversible fine scratches and cause blotchiness on the mirror finish.
3. Water Supply and Pressure Control
- Water Supply: Maintain a continuous, ample flow of clean circulating water to wash away stone dust, cool the surface, and prevent resin aging or pulverization.
- Head Pressure: Apply moderate to light pressure; excessive pressure compresses the resin, deepens scratches, and shortens service life. Use low pressure and slow speeds when processing nephrite (soft jade).
4. Finishing Procedures
- After completing the 3000# resin polishing stage, sequentially use "5Extra" and "10Extra" oxalic acid Frankfurt blocks to dissolve surface oxidation stains and eliminate slight "orange peel" haziness, achieving a highly transparent mirror finish. Rinse the slab surface with clean water and allow it to air dry before applying stone sealer.
5. Storage and Maintenance
- Store in a cool, dry warehouse; avoid high temperatures and humidity. Prolonged exposure to moisture can cause premature resin hydrolysis and reduce the grinding block's sharpness.

(After using our Diamond Frankurt grinding block, the stone can be easily polished to a high gloss and mirror effect)
